Delegation from USACE Visited CISPDR

  On July 22, 2015, delegation from US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) led by Thomas Bostick, Commander of USACE visited CISPDR. Academician Niu Xinqiang gave them a warm welcome.

  Academician Niu Xinqiang firstly extended his warmest welcome to USACE Commander and his delegation, and then reviewed CISPDR’s visit to the US in April when a  fruitful meeting with USACE wasconducted. Later, Academician Niu briefed them on CISPDR’s history,strong technical team, honors and diversified business scope, focusing on the Three Gorges Project and the its ship lock designed by CISPDR. He expressed a good intention for both sides in the promotion of the bilateral cooperation on shipping engineering, ecological protection, etc. and establish effective collaborative partnerships.

  Thomas Bostick said he was deeply impressed by CISPDR’s technical strength, project achievements, brand publicity and honors received. As a response, he highlighted that USACE is willing to cooperate with CISPDR to strengthen exchanges between the two sides on various field including water transfer, flood control, spatial information, ecology, talent training, etc. and to foster mutual development by sharing experiences and lessons with each other.
